City of Augusta Childcare is a State Licensed & Nationally Accredited program for school aged children grades Kindergarten through 6th grade during the 2020-2021 academic year. The Childcare Bureau is adapting its School Year Childcare program to accommodate the 20/21 academic year while following state and CDC guidelines. This has influenced a number of changes within the program for the safety and growth of the children. This is based on the schools Yellow/Hybrid Model. If the Schools phase into another model, we will adjust accordingly. For the 20/21 School Year we will be offering limited slots with multiple enrollment options for 5 designated grade specific classrooms. Enrollment Package OptionsAll Childcare (Including Before School Care) will be held at Buker Community Center. Package A is for Kindergarten Kinder will be attending school 4 days a week with 1 virtual learning day on Wednesday. Players are required to purchase and wear football gloves and bring a mask. All other gear is optional.Football will run from Sept 28th - Nov 7th. Augusta Recreation Department and Central Maine Twirling presents Baton Twirling classes for children ages 5-22 of all levels and abilities. Through participating in the sports of baton twirling your athlete will acquire qualities and skills that will stay with him or her long after the baton is put away: self esteem, confidence, sportsmanship, teamwork, self motivation, hand and eye coordination and physical fitness.Baton is adapting it's program to meet the requirements of the State and CDC guidelines. Sessions for the 20/21 year will be in monthly sessions. Parents are asked to take their child(ren's) temperature prior to coming to class. We ask that children that present symptoms of illness please stay home until they are symptom free. City of Augusta Childcare is a State Licensed & Nationally Accredited program for school aged children grades Kindergarten through 6th grade during the 2020-2021 academic year. The Childcare Bureau is adapting its School Year Childcare program to accommodate the 20/21 academic year while following state and CDC guidelines. This has influenced a number of changes within the program for the safety and growth of the children. This is based on the schools Yellow/Hybrid Model.
