Referee Holding Basketball
A new challenge this year within the COVID-19 Pandemic is gym space/time. This year Basketball will be In-House only and only held at Buker Community Center. To create the best experience for our players, and offer adequate practice and game time this year's basketball season will be held in 2 sessions.

Session 1: Boy's In-House Basketball Grades 1st-6th: 12/06/21 - 01/22/22.
Session 2: Girl's In-House Basketball Grades 1st-6th: 01/24/22 - 03/05/22 

Biddy Ball: Children Pre-K(minimum 4 years of age) and Kindergarten. Biddy ball will also be broken into two sessions lasting 4 weeks per session. Due to limited space in the gym at Buker, Biddy Ball will be first come first serve with limited space available. Player's are only eligible to sign up for 1 of the 2 sessions.

This program and it's mandated policies are subject to change at any time without notice. City of Augusta Recreation will follow all COVID-19 recommendations set in place by the State of Maine, CDC, MPA, and City of Augusta Protocols from our Health Officer. Augusta Recreation will always lean on the side of caution to keep families within our surrounding communities safe. 

POLICY UPDATE 1/10/22 - DUE TO COVID TRANSMISSION RATES, MASKS MUST BE WORN INSIDE THE BUILDING AT ALL TIMES.

If you have been identified as a close exposure to COVID-19 you will be asked to isolate from Augusta Recreation practices/games for a minimum of 10 days and will be required to submit a negative test no earlier than 48 hours prior to returning to Augusta Recreation's practices/games.
