2020 In-House Basketball will focus primarily on getting the kids engaged in physical activity and working on skills and drills in a smaller safer game setting. Basketball will be In-House only and limited to Augusta Residents.
We have modified our winter Basketball season due to COVID19 pandemic. Please read the following information carefully for additional information.
Basketball will be 3x3 games with separate boy and girl teams.
In efforts to reduce exposures to other towns and schools, registration is limited to Augusta Residents only and players must attend (in-person or remotely) one of the following Augusta Schools:
(Gilbert, Hussey, Lincoln, Farrington and St. Michael's)
**Verification of attending school may be required**
Session 1 Dates: Saturdays from January 9th - February 27
Session 2 Dates: TBD in February when an evaluation can be made on the status of the pandemic in our area/state
Basketball will be on Saturdays only held in the Buker Community Center Gym. Game time will vary. Schedules will be released when registration is closed.
Parents/Guardians will drop their player(s) off at the back entrance of Buker Community Center Gym. Parents will need to remain inside their vehicles in the parking lot during the game.
In the event of an injury or incident, we will call/find the adult responsible for the player and that 1 adult will be allowed inside the facility.
In efforts to be vigilant in the safety of coaches, players and families in our community and to follow max capacity limits of our gym, Basketball will consist of 3 on 3 games (I.e: 3 players on each team). Each team will play a game for approximately 35 minutes. This season will be In-House only. No travel will be offered.
-Families will bring their player(s) to the back door of the Buker Community Center Gym and wait in their car for their players game to be over. Parents/Guardians will not be allowed inside the gym due to max capacity limits set by CDC and State COVID Guidelines. If there are any issues we will call the cell phone number on your registration account or come out into the parking lot.
-Players will need to bring a mask with them and need to wear the mask until instructed by coach.
- If you or anyone in your family has had an exposure or shows signs/symptoms of illness please skip the game until safe to return.
-In between each game there is allotted time for proper sanitization of equipment and frequently touched surfaces.
-We will continue to follow all state, CDC and MPA guidelines and mandates and adjust our season accordingly.
